Facebook has become my second home

I love Facebook. I have found so many friends from grade school, high school, college and my early working years. I’m really bad at keeping in touch by sending snail mail. Mostly because I have 4 kids and I just don’t have the time and by the time they get my letter and respond, I don’t even remember what I asked. With e-mail, I’ve been much better. I can send the same note to 2 friends and keep everyone updated several time a year with 1 e-mail. But with Facebook, I feel in many ways like I’m still close to my friends. I can watch their kids grow up, see what they are up to, play a few games and share my life with them. I love when I see a friend invite or note from someone I haven’t talked to in years. It is really interesting to see where they are and what they are doing now.

I am a scrapbooker, so I love preserving moments in time (sounds like a Hallmark card). But I didn’t realize how many things I had forgotten until I got back in touch with some old friends. They reminded of things, place and people I hadn’t thought about in years. Some I had forgotten for good reasons. I began to wonder if the next generation of kids will keep in touch better. It’s easier to keep people in your facebook and see what they are up to than to try to write a snail mail letter to all your past friends.

Feel free to add me to your Facebook. And what do you think about keeping in touch online? Will our kids do a better job of keeping in touch?

Last year, we went to Varkala, its an small city in Southindia, in Kerala. India is so beautifull.
If you are living in Europe, India is a really cheap country with a nice accommodation in Varkala. I hope you all get also a perfect vacation.
