Plurk or Twitter??
2008 June 18
I have been really hooked on plurk lately. I could never really get into Twitter. It felt very one sided to me. Yes, you can twitter @ someone, but it most of the time I didn’t get a response to my questions. But with plurk, it’s sort of like IMing with a lot of people. I love the time line. You can see an overview here. The timeline is in the blue and my info is in the orange. You respond by clicking on the line and then a text box shows up and you respond.

You need to check it out…you can get a lot of friends to start by going to this page and adding people as friends. There are a lot of friendly people there and so far, I’ve received NO spam!!!! Don’t forget to add me too….ScrappinMichele

I’m a big fan of Twitter and Plurk. To be honest, I was first a Plurker then got pulled into Twitter. I agree that Twittering is hard sometimes when you’re following so many people and vice versa. You don’t get that many responses to questions as you would with Plurk. Btw, have you heard of Ping.fm? You can post your status updates and it’ll automatically ‘ping’ Twitter and Plurk for you. I have it tied to my LinkedIn and Facebook account as well.

I just started using hellotxt.com to update my status. I’ll have to check out ping.fm too. I’m a junkie when it comes to these new social gadgets.

I completely agree-i like the interaction better at plurk. I’ve also gathered more friends there quicker. It’s fun–I’m a junky too!
